Home / News & Insights / Healthcare Design Director Connects with Client, Creates Their Vision
Haskell’s Healthcare Design Director, for which the company is now recruiting, is a position that embodies two of the concepts it holds most dear: deep, meaningful communication and functional, patient-centered design.
The successful candidate will be, quite simply, the point person who creates the design strategy and vision on which Haskell will deliver the best possible outcome for clients.
“We're not just asking this person to design solutions for projects,” Morales said. “We’re looking for them to articulate our vision, our strategy, and our approach to a client. They’re integral in forming the foundation of the relationship with the client, thereby elevating our approach as designers in the environment of care.”
Working on projects nationwide, Haskell’s Healthcare design directors lead that process, beginning as early as the conceptual design during project pursuit, proceeding through design and into design team leadership during development.
“This needs to be someone who enjoys working directly with clients and helping them identify a strategy and a vision for their particular objectives,” Morales said. “They listen. They understand. They internalize. They develop. They communicate.
“Many can respond to a set of circumstances and solve for a design problem. Where the real magic happens is when someone is able to connect with and partner with a client, understand what that client is trying to achieve and, develop a strategy and a vision to respond to that ultimate objective.”
In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
