The Design and Consulting Services Group in Haskell’s St. Paul, Minnesota, office is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership ability. And a sweet putting stroke wouldn’t hurt.

The team in St. Paul provides architectural and engineering services for fee-for-service, design-build and engineer, procure, construct (EPC) projects across markets ranging from consumer goods to military to maritime. But it also takes seriously providing a great work environment.

“Different offices do different things, but one of our things has been playing mini golf through the office,” Design Director Greg Ohlhues said. “We have different people set up different holes and create challenges. We like to have fun. We realize that you spend the majority of your waking hours with people you work with.

“We're very focused on our team and culture. We have a great team, a lot of people who work well together, and we’re looking for somebody who will come in and contribute and continue to grow that. We feel it’s important to have leaders who really translate our values and promote the culture that we want to have within our teams. That’s one of the most important aspects of the role.”

Ohlhues said the ideal candidate will be licensed in the U.S. and have at least 15 years of experience, adding that “ideally, it's somebody who is looking to take that next step, is looking for their next opportunity or a different avenue or challenge.” St. Paul is the preferred location, but remote work is an option for the right candidate with travel availability.

An integrated delivery pioneer at its core, Haskell maintains all design and construction disciplines under one roof. As such, the Lead Electrical Engineer will provide quality control for their group and participate in frequent interdisciplinary reviews with team members in St. Paul and throughout the company’s international network, which spans 20-plus U.S. offices, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

“We do a blend of fee-for-service, design-build and EPCs, providing Electrical design services through all of those,” Ohlhues said. “This person will have a lot of exposure to different types of projects, so if they like variety, that's certainly something that would be attractive about this position. We work on a lot of different projects for both the private and federal sectors.

In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
