This high-level creative leader will help fuse Haskell's wide range of expertise and capabilities to provide best-in-class AEC solutions to Life Sciences clients.
Ken Anthony has 30 years of engineering and construction experience from a wide variety of industrial manufacturing environments and Top 10 Global EPC firms. He can tell you what a good job looks like.
Now, as Vice President of Haskell’s newly formed Life Sciences Division, Anthony is beginning to build the core team that will fuse the company’s far-reaching expertise and capabilities to provide Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) solutions to clients in the following fields:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Biotechnology
- Medical devices and technology
- Gene and cell therapies
- High-purity active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)
Haskell currently is seeking an experienced architect for the newly created position of Life Sciences Design Principal, a highly creative opportunity that offers the dynamic entrepreneurial environment backed by the security of a 56-year-old company with an outstanding culture and a robust balance sheet.
Anthony will tell you: It’s a great job with an outstanding company.
“There are a couple of reasons,” Anthony said. “One is that Haskell really lives up to its reputation as a great place to work. The people are great. There's a lot of stability and longevity in the employees, and you just can’t replicate that. You can’t make that quickly, and you can’t buy it. Haskell's growing and developing, and it’s extremely strong and stable. That’s really something very special in the engineering and architecture market today.
“The other is that I think the projects we're going to be working on will be really challenging. We’re doing projects that won’t just be the same old turn-the-crank routine. I'm looking for a partner. I'm looking for somebody who’s going to join us and bring that special architectural magic and be a key member of our core Life Sciences team.”
A core team will create the division’s framework, networking with industry leaders and leveraging the diverse Haskell team, which spans the design and construction disciplines, as well as partners, consultants, and contractors, to meet the needs of new and existing customers.
“We're going to get the most challenging projects. I can see us being the Red Adair of the Life Sciences industry,” he said, referring to the legendary firefighter who was famous as an innovator in the highly specialized and hazardous profession of extinguishing and capping oil-well blowouts. “I can foresee us getting to the point where we become the troubleshooter in the industry”
In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
