As a pioneer in integrated project delivery, Haskell stresses constant collaboration to ensure clients the greatest value and best experience possible.
Water is one of Haskell’s core markets, and the growing need for infrastructure in both the public and private sectors has fueled the divisions’ rapid growth and created openings for Senior Project Managers.
With 20 offices across the United States and numerous locations in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, Haskell has the presence and scope to create world-class solutions for local governmental agencies and industrial clients.
As a leader in Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk project delivery, Haskell offers its customers an unprecedented level of collaboration in achieving their goals.
“It's the difference between intellectual input and commodity,” said John Norris, Haskell Director of Construction. “You're solving a problem and advising the client as opposed to building a project. Some can't tell the difference. For those who can, it’s a draw to them. Our delivery model is certainly what differentiates us from the local builder.”
Senior Project Managers lead a team and oversee all aspects of large complex projects from conception through commissioning. Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s in engineering, construction management or the equivalent and at least 10 years of experience in construction, design or management.
This is a “next step” job, Norris said.
“If they want to come in and run substantially larger work than what they're working on, if they want to manage the design process and the owner interface, if they want to grow in an organization that's employee owned, this is that opportunity,” he said.
Haskell’s Water Division has more than tripled in size since 2020. A focus on regionalization has led to the rapid expansion of its Salt Lake City office and new water and wastewater projects in the Western U.S. Also, it has seen explosive growth in industrial water work since it began offering the service to the private sector, where Engineering News-Record has ranked it the No. 1 Food & Beverage Contractor in two of the past three years.
“The work is exciting,” said Joe Kantor, a former Senior Project Manager who was promoted to Director of Project Development in 2021. “We’ve got a variety of projects in a variety of areas that can keep things fresh. It’s all here. You have the resources to do your job. You have a support structure around you. You have great people above and below you that you can look to for differing ideas.”
Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
As a pioneer in integrated project delivery, Haskell stresses constant collaboration with project owners and among the architecture, engineering and construction disciplines throughout each project. Senior Project Managers operate at the confluence of all parties and play an essential role in providing clients the greatest value and best experience possible.
“Our business is about building relationships,” Kantor said. “We make certain that the people we hire will fit our culture of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust.”
