Join the industry-leading team, a trusted partner of Fortune 500 firms in the food, beverage, consumer products, and beer, wine, and spirits markets.
Designing and implementing the optimal process systems in food and beverage manufacturing facilities is fundamental to public safety and profitable business, and no one does it better than Haskell, Engineering News-Record’s No. 1-ranked Food & Beverage Manufacturing Contractor.
If you are a process designer who is proficient in Plant3D and has experience working in the field, now is the time to join the best.
Haskell is seeking a Process Designer to join its diverse team of industry-leading experts, working as a trusted partner of many Fortune 500 companies in the food, beverage, consumer products, and beer, wine, and spirits markets.
“Why come here? Because it’s an awesome place,” said Shawn Hubbard, Vice President of Process Manufacturing. “Truly, I think our culture and the variety of work are our biggest selling points. Working on a team with people who really care about each other is a huge benefit.”
Hubbard’s Process team comprises more than 50 engineers, designers and technicians handling process, mechanical and automation from offices in Jacksonville, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Livermore, California.
As a pioneer in integrated design, Haskell was an early adopter of Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) project delivery, and its process, packaging and material handling engagements can range from $10,000 designs for capital projects to the manufacturing portion of $400 million jobs.
Process Designers create and modify drawings, create detailed designs, contribute to planning, scheduling and analysis and interpret construction documents in the field.
“The perfect person would be a self-starter, have some field experience, software experience and knowledge of industry standards,” Hubbard said. “Welding knowledge would be beneficial, and any kind of construction experience would be very valuable.”
Self-starting doesn’t equal solo performance. Haskell’s culture is one of collaboration, and Hubbard said that nowhere is that more the case than within the Process team.
“Everything we do is in a team, and one of the things that we have really worked hard on is the culture of this group,” he said. “We're a very tight-knit group. For example, we've had people who have been stressed out with a deadline looming. Somebody else hears it and says, ‘Hey, I heard that you’ve got a deadline. Can I help you?’ And they've actually stepped in, even stayed late to help somebody meet a deadline. That's the kind of environment we have.”
In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
