Office Leadership and Team Members

Greg Akers, Vice President and Haskell’s Aviation & Aerospace Manufacturing Division Leader, serves as the primary representative for the Merritt Island office. Project Director Kathy Stillson is also located in this office.

About the Merritt Island Office

Haskell has maintained a presence in Brevard County since the late 1990s, completing nearly $100 million in improvements to local schools and more than $550 million of work overall. Notable clients in the area include Blue Origin, NASA, Aerion, L3Harris, Melbourne-Orlando International Airport, the Canaveral Port Authority and Brevard County Public Schools.

Markets supported in Merritt Island include aviation, aerospace, education, maritime, municipal and water. This office is of particular interest to Haskell’s Aviation & Aerospace Manufacturing Division, which has completed more than $450 million worth of work in the area since 2016. As a part of Florida’s Space Coast, Brevard County is an opportune area for clients in the aviation and space sectors.

Haskell’s Merritt Island office offers various delivery methods, including Design-Build; Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR); Engineer Procure Construct (EPC); and Design Manufacture Construct (DMC).

April is National Welding Month, and we’re celebrating the individuals who create things that matter at Haskell Steel. We're proud to spotlight Will McCall, who started at Haskell just over eight months ago and has already learned the welding trade and earned his certification.

Check out the video to meet Will and see why he chose Haskell.

The dedicated team at Haskell Steel manages 10,000-plus tons of steel annually for both Haskell projects and external customers. An AISC-certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator, it has shipped fabricated steel throughout the U.S. and to Latin America, Canada, Europe and Southeast Asia.

As Florida’s population continues to grow, so does the demand for water.

In Episode 2 of Krystal Clear, Krystal Strassman breaks down what that growth really means for the state’s water infrastructure, and why planning ahead matters more than ever.

Across Florida, utilities are facing increasing pressure to keep up with rising demand. It takes the right strategy and the right partners to stay ahead.

Follow along as we explore what it takes to make every drop count.

Today, we’re going on a ski trip. But not just any ski trip! This one has been optimized by Zary Peretz, a Senior Analyst on Haskell’s System Analytics team.

Zary and her husband, Aaron, scheduled some PTO to hit the slopes in Park City, Utah. They arranged the flights, the car and the hotel. They packed the bibs and beanies.

And then Zary got busy.

By analyzing lift patterns, tracking peak usage and planning runs that suited them both, she built a simple optimization strategy that reduced wait times and maximized their time on the slopes.

It’s the same approach her team brings to Haskell projects. Clear goals, defined constraints and data-driven decisions lead to the best possible outcomes. Whether on a job site or a ski slope, analytics helps teams adapt, improve and deliver.

Women in Construction Week may be ending, but the impact of women building our industry shows up every day on job sites, in offices and everywhere in between.

We asked Haskell team members to share three words that describe women in construction, and the answers say it all.

Thanks to the women across our company and across the AEC industry who bring expertise, perspective and momentum to the work. Your contributions shape outcomes and what’s possible.

Today marks the start of Women in Construction Week, a time to recognize the professionals building projects and shaping the future of the industry. At Haskell, that includes women like Assistant Project Manager Nima Goodman, who is growing her career in the field through hands-on experience and structured training.

As a participant in Haskell’s Rotational Cross Training Program, Nima gains guided, hands-on exposure across project scopes.

“Being able to rotate through Safety and Quality has changed how I walk the job site,” she said. “I can see the work from different perspectives and understand how each piece fits together.”

Haskell’s integrated design-build model depends on team members who understand the full project lifecycle. Programs like the Rotational Cross Training Program help build that foundation while creating opportunities for growth.

As we continue in Engineers Week2026, we bring the spotlight to Jonathan Luu, Lead Mechanical Engineer, Public Sector Building Design, in Haskell’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office.

“I pursued engineering because of the certainty, the facts and the formulas, but what I found is that for me, engineering has in many ways been like art,” he says. “Numbers and data are like my paints and canvas.”

Join us this week as we commemorate Engineers Week, celebrate this year’s theme, “Transform Your Future,” and highlight the people, technology and tools that shape our communities and inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.

It’s Engineers Week 2026!

Each February, we take this opportunity to celebrate the people who turn scientific principles into infrastructure, products and processes that work reliably at scale.

Today, we kick off the event by asking Haskell engineers from across our global teams, “What’s the one tool you cannot live without?”

See anything familiar?

Haskell hosts robust teams of engineers across more than a dozen disciplines who provide world-class solutions for structures and systems worldwide. To learn more, visit us at www.haskell.com

And check back with us throughout Engineers Week as we celebrate this year’s theme, “Transform Your Future,” and highlight the people, technology and tools that shape our communities and inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.
