Do you have a desire to practice 'persuasive writing at its highest level'? Join Haskell's fast-growing Salt Lake City staff and make a difference.
As she talks about the opening in Haskell’s Salt Lake City, Utah, office for a Marketing and Proposal Specialist, Judy Deshler starts with the basics, outlining the requirements for someone to get the position and the responsibilities once they do.
But as Deshler, Director of Marketing for Haskell’s Infrastructure & Transportation Group, digs into what it takes to really make a difference, you can see her passion for this key role shine through.
“This role combines an ability to communicate effectively with a love for puzzles,” Deshler said. “It’s all about discovering what matters to a client and relating that to how we can help them succeed. Every day we ask ourselves, ‘Why is this client going to pick us?”
Bryan Bedell, Vice President and Water Division Leader, recently relocated from Haskell’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, to the Western Regional Operations Center in Salt Lake City to extend the company’s expertise to Western municipalities. The new marketing specialist will work with Bedell and play a crucial role in communicating the company’s strength and capabilities.
“The role is primarily focused on managing proposals and presentations, but we also support business development with social media, print collateral and conferences. We’re here to help however we can,” Deshler said.
“We work together to compile information in a way that grabs people’s attention and makes them want to keep reading. This position is persuasive writing at its highest level.”
Candidates with strong writing, editing and desktop publishing skills using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office or knowledge of the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry are qualifiers. Candidates with all the above go to the front of the line.
The successful candidate will join an AEC firm of the highest order. Haskell has grown to employ more than 1,850 team members across the U.S., Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
