We delivered comprehensive engineering services to expand protein food manufacturing capacity.
Haskell provided comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for the renovation of a 200,000-square-foot brownfield manufacturing facility. Located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the project supports increased demand for healthy, on-the-go snacks through expanded protein powder and protein bar production capabilities.
A renovated facility supports high-volume food production.
The project involved the design and installation of new processing and packaging equipment within an existing manufacturing plant. The upgraded facility is designed to produce up to 15 million pounds of protein powder and 400 million protein bars annually, aligning with the client’s long-term operational and growth objectives.
Integrated process design enables efficient, end-to-end operations.
Haskell’s process design scope included powder mixing and packaging, bulk ingredient handling, syrup preparation, dry blending, bar forming, slab topping, cooling, bar sizing, enrobing and decoration, automated packaging, and hand-pack and multi-pack stations. These integrated systems support efficient production flow and consistent product quality across multiple lines.
Facility upgrades ensure safety, compliance and operational reliability.
Key design considerations focused on sanitary design, adherence to good manufacturing practices, hazardous area classifications, flammable and combustible material handling requirements and seismic compliance. Customized, multi-disciplinary facility modifications were delivered to enhance operational safety, regulatory compliance and long-term reliability.
