In response to COVID-19 and the need for safer, healthier and more sustainable approaches to construction, Haskell has joined with three other leading critical infrastructure and construction companies to launch the NEXT Coalition.

Through Dysruptek, its innovation venture, Haskell has partnered with Black & VeatchDPR Construction and McCarthy Building Companies to identify and advance processes and technologies most likely to bolster construction safety in response to the “next normal” brought about by the pandemic.

The coalition has launched the Construction Safety Challenge, an open call to companies, startups and other innovators with emerging safety solutions that can be quickly deployed and scaled to address current and future problems in the field and office.

“The peer companies in the Next Coalition are combining distinguished cultures of safety, operational excellence and innovation to accelerate impactful change within our industry, and beyond,” said Jim O’Leary, President and CEO of Haskell. “The abrupt and global impact of COVID-19 reinforces and amplifies these cultural expectations.”

The NEXT Coalition is actively seeking participants with solutions that are complete or nearly market-ready. By working with industry leaders, those chosen will gain the advantage of accelerating their solutions into the market.
