Safety is of paramount importance and a Haskell core value. Recognizing that the four major hazards identified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) account for more than 30% of serious incidents annually, Haskell has designed a specialized Safety Inspection mechanism.

Our Focused Safety Inspection initiative aims to improve safety measures by conducting inspections targeting the following:

  • Falls
  • Electrical hazards
  • Struck by incidents
  • Caught-between incidents

Our safety inspection format has been specifically developed to provide Superintendents and Project Managers with an innovative, practical tool for comprehensive hazard identification and mitigation. The inspections are designed to streamline the process and can be incorporated into standard routines without requiring additional time or effort. This provides an efficient way to continually monitor the work environment, recognizing potential risks and allowing for prompt preventative measures.

The Focused Safety Inspection method adopts a digital approach, utilizing an electronic system to document findings. This electronic system is integrated with Procore, a leading construction project management software, further simplifying the process.

Superintendents and Project Managers can effortlessly upload their findings within Procore, ensuring a seamless flow of information and a well-maintained digital record of all safety inspections. This augments and informs more comprehensive safety inspections conducted by Haskell’s Safety professionals.

The integration with Procore makes data entry easier and provides a platform for issuing reports to the concerned parties for corrective action. This enables swift resolution of any identified issues, minimizing the risk of severe incidents on the job site.

Haskell’s Focused Safety Inspection strategy underscores the importance of regular checks to maintain a safe construction environment. The inspections are to be carried out weekly. This frequency ensures that no potential hazards go unnoticed, and regularity helps to embed safety awareness in the project team’s routine.

The weekly inspections serve a dual purpose. They are a mechanism for identifying hazards and a means of reinforcing Haskell's commitment to safety at every level of the organization. By involving Superintendents and Project Managers in these inspections, Haskell emphasizes the collective responsibility for safety and encourages a culture of vigilance and proactive risk management.

Haskell's Focused Safety Inspection is a comprehensive approach to reinforcing safety standards on construction sites. By identifying the four primary causes of serious incidents as outlined by OSHA, Haskell has designed a procedure that aligns with best safety practices while also offering an efficient and user-friendly platform for Superintendents and Project Managers.

Our digitally integrated, weekly inspections go beyond mere compliance, creating a consistent and proactive safety culture. This ensures that safety is always at the forefront, reducing the likelihood of incidents and creating a safer and healthier environment for everyone on the project.
