Background & Experience

Matthew Schultz serves as Director of Field Operations at Haskell, bringing 19 years of hands-on industry experience across some of the most demanding and complex project environments in the world. Matt’s portfolio spans aviation hangars and manufacturing facilities, heavy manufacturing, food and beverage, and a full range of delivery methods including EPC, EPCM, Owner’s Agent, and Design-Build, giving him a uniquely versatile perspective on what it takes to get a project done right.

His project experience spans the United States, China, and throughout Southeast Asia, and includes landmark achievements such as Starbucks’ first greenfield coffee roasting facility in Asia and the four-squadron MV-22 hangar at MCAS New River, one of the largest Marine Corps structures built at the time. Matt is also a founding member of Haskell’s Asia-Pacific operations, a milestone that reflects both his pioneering spirit and his deep commitment to expanding Haskell’s global reach.

As Director of Field Operations, Matt ensures that the right design and construction resources, along with the full weight of Haskell’s corporate support, are in place for every project team at every stage. He takes personal ownership of each project’s success, maintaining direct communication with clients from initial inception through final closeout. His philosophy is rooted in transparency, thorough front-end preparation, and a whatever-it-takes mindset driving solutions, upholding rigorous standards of design, safety, and quality, and making sure that challenges are solved before they ever become disruptions.

Education

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Georgia Southern University.
