Background & Experience

Kevin Clay has more than 25 years of experience in selecting and designing fire protection systems that ensure maximum efficiency, safety and compliance. He leads Haskell’s fire protection engineering practice across government, industrial, aviation and defense projects, ensuring that every system is tailored to meet each client’s operational and regulatory needs.

Kevin’s expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from design and analysis through construction administration, providing clients with dependable, integrated fire and life safety solutions. He has led fire protection and life safety design for numerous high-security and mission-critical facilities, including the Consolidated Space Operations Facility at Schriever Air Force Base, the Air Force Research Laboratory REACH Facility at Edwards Air Force Base and the renovation of Hangar 200 at Homestead Air Reserve Base. His experience also includes large-scale industrial and defense projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and multiple municipal aviation facilities.

He has completed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering and Principles and Practice of Engineering exams for Fire Protection and maintains an active NCEES Record for Comity. Kevin serves as Treasurer for the Oklahoma Society of Fire Protection Engineers and is dedicated to advancing fire safety standards and professional development within the industry.
