Haskell Awarded P464 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Project at Marine Corps Air Station
Find out how Haskell’s Federal Division will design and build a new aircraft maintenance hangar at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, supporting pilot training operations.
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic has selected Haskell’s Federal Division for the design and construction of the P464 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, support facilities and related site civil work at Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC. The project fulfills critical requirements for locating the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 502 at MCAS Beaufort with facilities accommodating the unique operational and security requirements of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft.
The approximately $70 million contract includes a multi-story Type 1 aircraft maintenance hangar for F-35B Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Training Squadron and legacy compliant aircraft, an operational support facility, a pilot fit facility and a three-story ramped parking structure accommodating 260 vehicles.
“Haskell is proud to deliver design-build facilities that support the men and women protecting our freedom. We are excited about the opportunity to work with NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic and the staff located at MCAS Beaufort,” said Mark Higby, Haskell Federal Division Leader.
Project execution will be the responsibility of Haskell’s headquarters office in Jacksonville, along with Haskell’s Benham acquisition offices in Oklahoma City, St. Louis, and St. Paul. Haskell's 2016 acquisition of Benham, with its more than 100 years of successful project design and delivery, strengthened a unique combination of resources, capabilities and unparalleled expertise to a wide range of federal/DoD clients, providing facilities safely, on time and within budget while meeting all project requirements.
