MAAS Aviation Painting Facility

Mobile, Alabama

Bringing new capability to a growing aerospace assembly cluster.

Pinpoint accuracy is critical in the ultra-competitive aircraft exterior finishing industry. When a planned facility will support one of the world’s aircraft manufacturing leaders, it’s doubly so. When MAAS Aviation USA was poised to build a paint hangar, they turned to a partner with aerospace and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) expertise: Haskell.

Haskell delivered the value that’s prime in aircraft exterior finishing.

Haskell provided complete design-build services, project management and self-performance of deep pile foundation work for the 44,000 square-foot, two-bay paint hangar at Brookley Aeroplex. The cross-draft hangar is capable of painting the largest, single-aisle commercial aircrafts produced by Boeing and Airbus as well as smaller commercial or cargo aircraft.

The MRO facility and region are now serving the full aircraft assembly process.

One area of key importance was the sophisticated suite of sensitive controls installed to maintain the precise temperature and humidity settings that are essential for quality preparation and finishing. With Haskell’s aerospace facility expertise, the complex hangar was constructed in under one year.
