When operations and employees are scattered, there’s inefficiency.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida services more than two million Florida customers. For years, thousands of employees had done their work from locations all across Jacksonville. When they selected Haskell to develop a 130-acre site into a cohesive corporate campus, that all changed.
We created a cohesive campus to streamline operations.
Blue Cross Blue Shield called on Haskell’s deep experience in preconstruction services and construction management to deliver a new suburban campus that would house employees and local operations in a central location. From parking to foodservice, Haskell developed more than 1,000,000 square feet of buildings including a conference center, training center, kitchens and cafeterias, plus a 1,500-space parking structure and surface parking.
A multi-phase schedule maintained the project schedule and budget.
We aimed for the highest quality project for Blue Cross & Blue Shield and the more than 2,700 employees who would work there. Pre-cast materials kept the project moving smoothly and detailed planning ensured cast-in-place structures stayed on schedule and budget. Covered walkways link buildings and high-tech security and communications systems offer additional protection. We delivered the suburban complex on budget and on schedule bringing new efficiency to the very busy business of Blue Cross Blue Shield.
