Home / News & Insights / Building on Learning, Engagement Success, Jones-Chinetti Named VP
When she joined Haskell in 2020 to lead its Learning, Development & Education (LD&E) team, Brooke Jones-Chinetti was charged with elevating an already-strong learning and career-development curriculum. Two years later, in response to the company’s rapid growth, it doubled down on its educational commitment by investing heavily in a competency-based approach to training across the company.
For the past 11 years, Haskell has been identified as one of the top global learning and development companies by Training Magazine. Based Jones-Chinetti’s focus and dedication along with the expansion of the training & development team in February 2023, Haskell earned the No. 1 spot in Training Magazine’s annual APEX Awards rankings, an exclusive list of the leading training organizations worldwide. Likewise, as Haskell endured the rigors of the pandemic and accommodated rapid workforce growth, team member engagement, measured by the widely respected Gallup Q12 Survey, has continued to improve.
Due in large part to her leadership in both areas, Jones-Chinetti was recently promoted to Vice President of LD&E.
“I've been in people operations for the entirety of my career, so while it's been a winding road through different industries and different experiences, the bottom line is people,” she said. “My goal for any job I’ve had is to ensure the value of people operations and how it betters the business is recognized by the company.”
Jones-Chinetti graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served two deployments, in Iraq and Kuwait. Upon discharge, she became a Vice President at JP Morgan in its Office of Military and Veterans Affairs. While there, she decided to attend Columbia University to obtain her Executive MBA. Most recently, she was the Director of People and Operations of Werk, an HR tech company focused on the future of work.
It was when she moved to Jacksonville to be closer to family that she was introduced to David Thaeler, Haskell’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.
“As soon as I met David and the rest of the Executive Leadership Team, I knew that Haskell was the place I wanted to work,” Jones-Chinetti said. “It gave me the same feeling the military did because I felt I would be working on something larger than myself. The values of the company spoke to me, and the senior leaders exemplified servant leadership and what it means to be part of a service-minded organization.”
In 2018, Haskell committed to building on the foundation of its core markets and core values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust. It created a set of strategic pillars called Haskell 2025 that would act as a roadmap for the next several years, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members with the Best Job of Their Lives."
“As we elevate and transform our Learning, Development & Engagement practice at Haskell to continue to provide our team members with the best, most impactful jobs of their lives, Brooke has proven herself as a creative and passionate leader during this transformational time,” Thaeler said. “I am confident, along with our senior executives, that progress to our learning systems and engagement culture will accelerate under her watch.
“During Brooke’s three years with Haskell, she has proven herself as a customer-focused leader who understands the direct link between Haskell’s performance-based culture centered on the power of our people and our foundational values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust.”
