What We Do

Packaging Systems

The mark of a highly effective packaging system is one working both reliably and near-total capacity.

Optimized packaging systems are efficient yet flexible.

Packaging-line design and development is a complex function affected by a wide variety of performance-related variables. Subtle differences in design can create wide swings in capacity, throughput, accessibility and efficiency. Haskell understands these subtleties and creates systems that perform optimally to meet our clients’ needs. Our depth of experience spans multiple markets and our solutions reflect the latest advancements in packaging-line design and system integration.

We engineer success for even the most complex packages.

We base our efforts on two primary principles; a clear understanding of clients’ current and future needs and the application of well-structured fundamentals. As system integrators, we carefully evaluate the requirements and select the right equipment for the application. Our clients rely on us for unique and flexible system designs that address solutions for difficult-to-manufacture packages. Whether you need a conceptual study on a packaging line or a new manufacturing facility, Haskell ensures seamless execution with an ideal outcome.

Packaging system concepts and designs are quickly evaluated for value.

Packaging systems are scrutinized for value, performance and waste.

Haskell’s high-quality, robust packaging system designs are built for optimal performance. In collaboration with clients, we develop Overall Equipment Effectiveness models that include crucial metrics that help determine potential bottlenecks and realistic throughput expectations. We optimize system throughput and reduce waste before the installation of any equipment. We work diligently to analyze and confirm engineering calculations with realistic targets, so pre-production estimates match actual production rates and to bring our clients to market with less downtime and risk.

Our goal is faster time-to-market and low risk.

Our engineers have a deep understanding of high-speed manufacturing system development, equipment, performance, package design and materials, and material flow within the system. Once we integrate each of the system’s equipment centers and control systems, we refine for added efficiencies in space usage, packaging specifications, material flow and Lean methodologies. We work closely with clients to ensure they have the right information to make fully informed investment decisions and to help them bring their packaging solution to market quickly.

Systems and clients benefit from objective, unbiased procurement services.

Each packaging system is specific to our client’s objectives.

Haskell’s engineering and procurement teams make the acquisition and installation of packaging equipment seamless. We develop system scope and equipment specifications for fully informed RFQ/RFP processes. Our detailed equipment knowledge makes us adept at vendor evaluation and management. Through objective analysis we not only find the right packaging system equipment for each unique solution, we ensure the cost, design, testing, schedule, and startup meet the project needs.

We ensure the right equipment and the right vendor.

Our certified project managers bring extensive process expertise to each assignment. From equipment and systems specification development to testing and managing vendor relationships, we ensure that every aspect of a packaging line is fine-tuned to our client’s application and objectives. We design systems that utilize our in-house expertise on system design integration paired with procuring the right OEM equipment in order to deliver the results to our customers.

The reward of thoughtful system planning is getting to market faster.

The right packaging solutions deliver measurable value.

A methodical approach to packaging system design offers strategic advantages. Not only can you get to market faster and with less start-up time, the system has been tested and tweaked until it’s working at optimal volume — all before startup on the line. Haskell implementation teams are leaders in integration and optimization of packaging systems. Whether addressing equipment needs or potential bottlenecks, our goal is to maximize throughput on the production line every hour of every day.

We keep system downtime to an absolute minimum.

Our engineering teams deliver smart, reliable system designs. From layout development to installation consulting, we optimize every packaging system to match the unique needs of the production lines it serves. Design layout and consulting also spurs critical discussions and solutions related to safety, training, future growth, and policy development earlier in the process.

By aligning operations to objectives, we ensure optimal performance.

Packaging line implementation has to begin with the end in mind.

Startup & Commissioning activities are the final step in any packaging line implementation and directly influence the overall success of the entire project. Our front-end design drives the success and speed of the startup and, ultimately, enables production to begin as quickly as possible.

Our team partners with you to guarantee success.

Haskell has developed a unique Startup & Commissioning plan carried out by skilled Construction Managers. Focused on the installation of the manufacturing systems, this dedicated startup team takes ownership of the coordination of the daily startup schedule, resource schedule for engineering and service technicians, downtime plans, and production plans. We ensure that the startup and commissioning process is well planned and successfully executed.
