TyCom/USA Apollo Cable Stations

New York, New Jersey, and Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Cable station facilities deliver mission-critical connectivity across the Atlantic.

Haskell partnered with global telecommunications leaders to deliver a series of mission-critical cable landing and management facilities along the U.S. East Coast. These secure, state-of-the-art stations provide the backbone for transatlantic fiber-optic communication, linking the United States with Europe and supporting the exponential growth in global data traffic.

The projects included facilities in New Jersey, New York and Florida, each designed and constructed to meet stringent requirements for reliability, redundancy and disaster resilience. Together, they represent Haskell’s expertise in mission-critical facilities, combining innovative design-build delivery with technical precision to ensure uninterrupted service for international telecommunications.

Purpose-built facilities ensure long-term reliability and scalability.

Each cable station was designed with mission-critical redundancy and scalability in mind. Facilities ranged from 10,000 to more than 85,000 square feet and incorporated advanced infrastructure, such as N+1 mechanical and electrical systems, multiple emergency generators, large-scale uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and fire suppression systems. The New Jersey facilities served as U.S. termination points for transatlantic undersea fiber-optic cables, while the Long Island and Jacksonville Beach stations provided secure hubs for international data connectivity.

Design-build delivery meets demanding technical and operational standards.

Haskell provided comprehensive design-build services across the portfolio, including permitting, architecture, engineering, construction, steel fabrication and concrete tilt-up wall construction. Facilities featured extensive computer-access flooring to support flexibility in equipment layouts and leveraged site-cast concrete and tilt-up panels for durability, security and efficiency. Collaborative partnerships with specialty subcontractors ensured that electrical and HVAC systems met exacting technical and reliability requirements.

Secure and resilient solutions safeguard global telecommunications infrastructure.

These projects highlight Haskell’s ability to deliver complex, highly technical facilities that strike a balance between speed to market and long-term durability. Designed to withstand extreme conditions, including hurricane-force winds and flooding, the stations provide uninterrupted global connectivity while allowing for future expansion. By delivering end-to-end solutions for some of the world’s most advanced telecommunications infrastructure, Haskell reinforced its reputation as a trusted partner for mission-critical projects.
