Haskell delivered its first full design-build temple project in the Philippines, integrating traditional and modular construction.
The Bacolod Philippines Temple marked Haskell’s first full design-build temple project and its first use of structural steel construction in the Philippines. The 12.36-acre development includes a temple with basement and mezzanine, a two-story Patron House, utility building and guardhouse, along with parking, landscaped areas and supporting site infrastructure. Integrating design and construction from the earliest stages enabled close coordination among Haskell, the client, consultants and local contract partners throughout project delivery.
Integrated delivery supported innovation, quality and schedule performance.
The Patron House introduced an additional delivery approach through a modular housing system fully designed, fabricated and installed within Haskell’s scope. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were integrated into the modules during manufacturing, along with ceiling grids and drywall finished to Level 4, allowing significant portions of the building to be completed before arriving on site. Careful coordination of fabrication, logistics and field installation supported integration of the modular structure with the broader temple development.
Completed on schedule in 30 months, the project achieved a Quality Performance Rating of 84.8 and maintained strict quality controls through systematic inspections, testing and continuous site supervision. The project recorded 2,783,310 safe work hours without a lost-time incident and received 2025 Merit Award honors from the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI) and the Philippines Department of Labor for its safety performance.
