Background & Experience

John Albro is a seasoned results-driven leader responsible for work acquisition, project development, and the overall growth and profitability of Haskell’s Municipal Division. As Division Leader, John is instrumental in driving new business and identifying the right opportunities to build long-term relationships with municipal clients and private stakeholders. His strong operational background and practical understanding of public-sector delivery help align project strategy with client priorities ensuring successful project execution.

John joined Haskell with more than a decade of construction industry experience. Prior to Haskell, he held senior leadership roles at a globally recognized ENR Top 25 firm, where he was responsible for key client relationships, design-build pursuits and projects, and oversight of preconstruction, self-perform operations, and project delivery. He has led construction on a wide range of facility types, including healthcare, aviation, higher education, sports, and public services facilities, and has played significant leadership roles in establishing and growing local offices. Earlier in his career, John also owned and operated his own construction firm, where he managed all aspects of business operations and project execution.

At Haskell, John is responsible for identifying and overseeing new municipal market initiatives, developing strategic pursuit plans, maintaining client relationships, and expanding Haskell’s presence in the public-sector market. He manages proposal and pursuit efforts through project award, represents Haskell at industry events and client meetings, and collaborates closely with internal and external design partners, engineering consultants, and Haskell’s construction teams to ensure projects meet client objectives and are executed with clarity, accountability, and confidence.

Architectural Design from Southwest Tennessee Community College Business Management & Finance from the University of Mississippi.
