Home / News & Insights / Haskell’s Learning Culture Secures Training Hall of Fame Induction
After ranking in the top 10 of Training magazine's APEX Awards for four consecutive years, Haskell has been inducted into the Training Hall of Fame.
Haskell became one of just 17 companies recognized to earn the distinction, joining industry leaders such as Verizon, E&Y, and Booz Allen Hamilton, who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to employee growth and development.
“Our induction into the Training Magazine Hall of Fame is a testament to the dedication of this entire team and the pivotal role that Learning and Development plays in our organization's success,” said Jim O’Leary, Chairman, CEO and President. “At Haskell, we've long recognized that our people are our greatest asset. Our commitment to L&D isn't just about skill-building; it's about nurturing our team's potential and driving our company forward. This recognition belongs to every team member and leader who has embraced learning as a core part of their professional journey.”
The company’s participation in Training’s APEX process has built steadily for more than a decade:
“The Training APEX application process is a journey we started over 12 years ago and has been instrumental in our growth,” David Thaeler, Executive VP and Chief Human Resource Officer said. “It's served as an annual checkpoint, helping us identify gaps in our training programs and create a comprehensive roadmap for success. This process has pushed us to continually refine and improve our L&D initiatives, ensuring they remain aligned with our evolving business needs.”
The Training APEX Awards is the only awards program that ranks companies unsurpassed in harnessing human capital. The Training APEX Awards ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives and their effectiveness in behavior change and business impact.
Hall of Fame status brings responsibilities to the learning community. Haskell team members will be asked to publish articles, and, in fact, Brooke Jones-Chinetti, Vice President of Talent Management, said she was joining representatives of other Hall of Fame companies during this week’s Training Conference and Expo in Orlando, Florida, o collaborate on a white paper addressing AI's impact in training. Also, HOF members evaluate companies’ APEX applications.
While Haskell will no longer participate in the APEX rankings, it will continue to submit entries annually for the Outstanding Training Initiative.
“Looking ahead, Haskell remains laser-focused on our core mission: growing our people to their full potential,” Jones-Chinetti said. “We're committed to providing resources and opportunities for our team members to own their careers and discover success that truly drives them. Our myDevelopment approach remains critical, and we're augmenting it with personalized learning experiences to deliver training tailored to each individual's needs and goals. We're also doubling down on data-driven insights to continually refine our programs, expanding our focus on competency plus skills-based talent management to foster agility, and exploring immersive technologies.”
