This year, 20 children of Haskell team members will receive a Haskell Company Scholarship award, the company has announced. The four-year academic scholarships totaling $6,000 are awarded for undergraduate studies at accredited colleges, universities and post-secondary vocational and trade schools.

The Scholarship Committee reviews candidate applications and chooses recipients based on criteria that include grade-point average (GPA), class rank, strength of academic program, school activities, sports involvement, outside work, educational goals and career aspirations. In addition, each candidate submits three letters of recommendation.

“We are pleased to be able to support the children of our team members by assisting them in achieving their educational goals,” said David Thaeler, Haskell Chief Human Resources Officer. “The Scholarship Committee was extremely impressed by the level of commitment of the scholarship winners to making their communities a better place while balancing academic schedules, extra-curricular activities and, in many cases, part-time work. This year, we were fortunate to add several of our international team members’ children to our scholarship recipient ranks as they pursue their career aspirations.”
