St. John Broken Arrow Medical Campus

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

We created a plan to support present and future needs.

Haskell helped shape and deliver Stone Ridge Development and St. John Health System’s vision of a 69-acre master-planned medical campus incorporating expandable facilities – a full service, 189,000-square-foot, 92 bed, six-story community hospital and 110,000-square-foot, four-story medical office building – atop a fully developed, campus-wide infrastructure.

Major components were pre-planned for expansion.

Because no hospital existed in this growing suburb of Tulsa, overall planning had to include expansion flexibility for all major components. The campus included a 15,000-square-foot standalone central energy plant and included vertical expansion capabilities for 72 patient beds.

Design-build brings flexibility and savings.

Our integrated design-build process made the complex design more affordable and brought the facility online 25 percent faster than the traditional design-bid-build method. The bottom-line savings could be reallocated to their ultimate mission: patient care.
