Home / News & Insights / Haskell Makes Training Magazine’s Top 5 Again, Earns APEX Award
For the 10th consecutive year, Haskell has been named an APEX Award winner (formerly the Training Top 100) by Training magazine – an exclusive list of the leading training organizations worldwide. Haskell’s No. 4 global ranking marks the company’s fourth consecutive year in the Top 20, the third in the Top 10 and its second straight year in the Top 5.
The APEX Awards list represents organizations in all areas of business, many of which are household names operating in multinational arenas, such as Paychex, Inc. (#5), Visa (#15), Edward Jones (#11), AAA (#13), Valvoline Instant Oil Change (#15), Edward Jones (#24), Shaw Industries (#37), Gilbane Building Company (#44), The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (#82), O’Shea Builders (#88) and Kraft Heinz (#93).
“This award is a direct reflection of the investment Haskell has made and will continue to make to ensure our team members are growing both personally and professionally,” said Brooke Jones-Chinetti, Haskell Director of Learning and Team Member Engagement. “We are not only leading our industry in these efforts, but we are among the best training organizations globally. Our training, development and engagement opportunities are directly aligned to Haskell’s strategic vision and support our journey to Haskell 2025 and beyond, and this award signifies the commitment that leadership at all levels hold to providing our team members with the BEST job of their lives and our organizational success.”
Haskell’s Learning, Development & Engagement (LD&E) team has worked to closely align its programming with Haskell 2025, its strategy plan for purposeful growth. Four of the plan’s six pillars relate directly to LD&E’s mission: Providing the BEST Job of our Team Members’ Lives, Driving Operational Excellence, Optimizing Intellectual Capital, Technology & Innovation and Expanding Diversity & Inclusion.
As Haskell grows quickly to meet the needs of its large and diverse client base, it has committed to developing a competency-based approach to optimize and standardize job performance across the company.
“Development is multi-faceted and a journey; we’ll never be ‘done’ with our work,” Jones-Chinetti said. “We have found success with our professional development and leadership training, and we will continue to breathe life into new and existing offerings.
“With our focused partnership between LD&E and Operations, Haskell is blowing out our job-specific training, ensuring each of our team members is armed with resources to grow in their roles and be highly effective in our unique environment. When organizations think of Haskell, they’ll think of the most effective company at training its people.”
The APEX rankings are determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in team member development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives, and their effectiveness in terms of business impact.
“The purpose for and benefits of excellent training are really two-pronged,” said Jim O’Leary, Haskell Chairman, CEO and President. “We’re driving toward the goal of operational excellence and consistency and doing things the Haskell way. We’re also driving the culture and engagement and excitement about the business by proving to people, ‘I work for a company that is willing to invest in me personally and professionally.”
