GE Aviation Learning Center

Evendale, Ohio

A modern engine leader is barely visible on an aging campus.

The 300-acre Ohio campus of GE Aviation (GE) hadn’t seen new construction for decades. The aging facilities certainly didn’t reflect their industry leadership. When Haskell was selected to design the campus’ new gateway learning center, the result was a 50,000-square-foot structure with a breathtaking interior that features a historic engine display hanging in midair.

We captured the company’s modern vision in imaginative ways.

The new two-story learning center welcomes customers, visitors and employees both inside and out. Giant compressor engine blade replicas sweep toward the sky above while, underneath, visitors enter the engine display area. The unique corporate facility — comprised of precast concrete panels and masonry and steel construction — also features a 400-seat auditorium, learning rooms, business center and display areas.

Employee and visitor imaginations have room to soar.

The facility is a showcase for the company’s aviation heritage as well as a remarkable display of modern technology and twenty-first century commercial and military aviation leadership. The award-winning design and masterful technical details work together to lift the campus to new heights.
