A vision for a premier service facility takes flight.

Gulfstream Aerospace had a vision. They sought to transform an aircraft storage hangar at London Luton Airport into a first class aviation service facility equipped to provide inspections, repairs, avionics service, modifications and engine changes on up to 12-14 aircraft at a time. The company they selected to bring the 85,000-square-foot service center renovation to life: Haskell.

The project included a comprehensive renovation of the entire facility including upgraded electrical systems, a 75 kw compressed air system and the addition of an overhead fire protection system that met NFPA and British requirements. The existing office structure was also renovated to provide owners and facility staff secure business areas with upgraded HVAC systems and added utility support spaces within the hangar.

The service center called for global collaboration and management of a multinational team of architects, engineers, safety personnel and quantity surveying consultants. Haskell was also pleased to deliver the project — Gulfstream’s premiere international service center in England — on time and under budget.
