UCF Parking Garage

Orlando, Florida

A university needed parking in the distinctly academic campus core.

The University of Central Florida was at a crossroad. The campus desperately needed more parking, but the location was the campus’ academic core, a part of the school known for traditional, age-old aesthetics. They turned to Haskell for a modern parking solution that would look at home in the traditional academic ring.

Our innovative design is practically academic.

We blended traditional campus characteristics into the creative design. The four-story, 1,326-space garage also incorporates a sustainable, money-saving feature: an internal storm-water retention vault. The facility includes educational centers for instruction on wetlands restoration as well as sustainable design and construction.

A modern parking facility incorporating important amenities.

Automated parking permit vending equipment reduces the need for manned attendants. A car count system tracks available capacity and utilizes roadway signage to indicate the garage as Full or Open. We installed emergency phones to ensure student safety. A new intersection and traffic signal helped accommodate the new traffic patterns.
