Cherry Point Bachelor Enlisted Quarters

MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina

Today’s military housing improves their quality of life.

When the U.S. Navy needed to grow troop housing at a North Carolina air station, they turned to long-time partner: Haskell. Haskell’s integrated design-build approach, top-of-the-industry safety record and strong sustainable design and construction capabilities drove the Navy’s decision.

We crafted sustainable housing with plenty of amenities.

Haskell’s sustainable housing solution was two, mirror-imaged four-story buildings with 180 sleeping rooms. A centrally focused layout allows for quiet and calm open spaces inside and out. A large outdoor gathering area supports relaxation with lighted basketball courts, a picnic pavilion, grills, a covered bike rack and a great lawn. Residents also have access to laundry, a multi-purpose recreational lounge and vending areas.

The U.S. Navy achieved its goal — and then some.

When complete, Haskell exceeded the contractual requirements of LEED Silver by delivering a LEED® Gold Certified facility. With unique rooftop rainwater harvesting capabilities, the facility produces its own toilet water. We are proud to have created such a smart, hardworking facility for the Marines.

  • LEED® Gold Certified – 41 points (v2.2). Exceeded contractual requirement for LEED® Silver Certification
