Florida State College Parking Garage

Jacksonville, Florida

A growing commuter student population needed space to park.

Florida State College was growing and that meant more commuting students angling for the same limited parking spaces. The big challenge was limited available land space — 390 square feet — a factor that would drive the project’s design. Haskell’s solution was an efficient 585-space, 228,334-square-foot parking garage that was short on footprint and long on efficiency.

A practical garage design took students needs to heart.

The four-story garage demonstrates design practicality geared toward meeting parking students’ needs. Together, the elevators, stair towers and lighting design create a secure, well-lit environment so day and evening students feel equally safe. Incorporating the college’s existing aesthetic details gave the new structure continuity in design.

Our resources and expertise ensured nothing less than top-quality.

Haskell pioneered innovation in tilt-up construction capabilities so our in-house expertise helped close the gap between design and production. The pre-stressed precast concrete structure gave Florida State College and its students more room to grow, thrive and park.
