Thaeler, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, has been recognized by his industry peers as one of the top HR professionals in the US among organizations with fewer than 7,500 employees. Thaeler’s responsibilities at Haskell encompass human capital strategies including succession planning, training, talent management, culture engagement, compensation and benefits, and overall organizational development. David has 20+ years of human resources leadership experience in employee-centric organizations including two Fortune 500 companies. He has successfully led teams in developing and implementing human capital strategies that drive business results, create positive work environments and increase overall employee engagement.

Prior to Haskell, David served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for a Georgia-based hospital system that was identified four years in a row as a Fortune 100 “Great Place to Work”. He has prior senior human resources leadership roles in telecommunications, professional management services and healthcare services industries. David obtained his B.A. in Business Administration and dual Master's degrees in Labor and Human Resources, and Public Policy from The Ohio State University. His community and professional involvement has included serving on the board of directors for the Guardian Catholic Schools, the Diversity Council of the Carolina, 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, corporate advocate for NE Florida’s Big Brothers/Big Sisters “Beyond School Walls” Program, GPTW Executive Group Member, Professional Member of SHRM, ASTD, HRPS and ACHE as well as serving as a business advisory board member for several professional management and service firms.
