Marine Corps Air Station lacked a world-class clubhouse where its community could gather.

When the outdated Officer’s Club closed in 2004, the Marines, Sailors, families and retirees near Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point lost a key recreational and social hub. The wait came to an end when Haskell was selected to design and build a new, first-class clubhouse called Miller’s Landing.

We created a space for work, play and assembly.

The 21,500-square-foot Miller’s Landing is a multi-use building with expansive views of the adjacent Neuse River. The LEED Gold certified facility makes entertaining and meeting easier with Staff NCO and Officer lounges, a large ballroom that divides into three separate meeting areas, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a family restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The facility also boasts the most up-to-date technology with sound systems, drop-down AV screens, Wi-Fi, cable TV and satellite radio.

Military personnel now have a social hub that reflects their deep commitment to our nation.

One of the most pressing challenges was the project’s limited budget and widespread space demands. Marine Corps Community Services Headquarters, MCAS Cherry Point, and Haskell’s in-house design and construction teams held charette meetings and discussions to successfully bridge the gaps. We were pleased to finish ahead of the project schedule so the Marines, Sailors, military families and retirees of MCAS Cherry Point once again had a place to gather.
