Ave Maria University Housing

Ave Maria, Florida

Ave Maria University wanted to attract high-caliber students to on-campus living.

Today’s college students arrive on campus with higher-level expectations. Institutions have had to raise on-campus living standards in order to attract and retain students. When Ave Maria University administrators came to Haskell for a solution to their Florida campus’ student housing needs, they found a design-build partnership that offered cost-effective dividends.

We infused the student housing with a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright.

Our 124,000-square-foot, 576-bed design is three buildings in one, with two, four-story residential wings connected at a central core. A common area, laundromat, computer labs, meeting rooms and elevators are social hubs. The facility also has modern must-haves such as wireless internet, digital phone service and a security system. The style draws on the campus aesthetic — Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie style — with copper roofs, wide overhangs and long horizontal lines.

The residence hall is a functional, attractive environment to connected students.

Haskell used design-build to deliver a unique student housing facility. On-campus students are enjoying their new home — a blend of the traditional and high-tech. We were pleased to deliver the first-class residence hall in a very cost-effective manner.
