Background & Experience

Jennifer began her career with Haskell as an Architectural Intern in 2008 and now serves as Director of Healthcare Planning. She leads the consultancy team in developing planning, design, and operational solutions for a wide range of healthcare clients.

Jennifer uses her knowledge of healthcare strategy and operations to develop facility responses to future space needs. Her expertise in planning and regulatory guidelines enables her to communicate spatial organization that aligns with operations within client’s financial constraints. Analytics play a role in understanding future needs and enabling clients to make educated decisions about space needs. Jennifer develops healthcare planning metrics and standards to facilitate cost-efficient design decisions unique to their needs.

Communicating with clinicians and staff to build consensus and education about future space needs and requirements is a core skill of Jennifer’s. She believes it is imperative to educate throughout the process to enable clients to own their decisions upon implementation. During her tenure, Jennifer has worked closely with numerous health systems such as Adventist Health, Novant Health, Providence Hospital, USA Ft. Carson Medical, Seton Health, Sacred Heart, and Christus Health.

Education

Jennifer earned her Master of Architecture from the University of North Carolina, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Southern Carolina Columbia. She is a licensed architect in North Carolina and holds an Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification.

Jennifer is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
