Background & Experience

David serves as the Division Leader for Haskell Healthcare Design. He is an accomplished team leader working with clients and healthcare systems across the country to masterplan and implement projects ranging from complex facility expansions to a single room imaging equipment replacement. To David, successful client and project encounters are grounded in personal relationships formulated on mutual trust, respect and active listening to our client’s needs, challenges and priorities. He guides our team’s delivery of patient-centered design solutions recognizing each requires not only thoughtful planning and preparation coupled with careful execution, but also a keen understanding of the project’s operational needs, financial constraints, and schedules.

David excels at complicated endeavors, keeping multi-disciplinary teams in sync to perform at their peak. His talents include exceptional focus, organizational skills, and the ability to manage small details without losing sight of big-picture objectives. With over 27 years of experience dedicated to healthcare design David has been responsible for the design of $1 billion in healthcare projects. He has successfully worked with hospital administrations and integrated construction project delivery teams of every size to deliver projects that meet their operational, facility and patient care needs.

Education

Born and raised in South Carolina, David graduated from Clemson University’s College of Architecture with a Bachelors of Design and Masters of Architecture.

Professional Affiliations

Residing in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and son David has been privileged to serve and volunteer with many organizations. He is very active in his home church serving on the leadership council, chairing the Stewardship Committee and serving with his son’s Boy Scout Troop as a leader and treasurer.
