Haskell Completes New Addition & Related Campus Transformation Work at Jupiter Medical Center

JUPITER, FL – Haskell is proud to announce the completion of the “Florence A. De George Pavilion.” This fully integrated delivery (design-build) project consists of nearly 85,000 square-feet of space contained within a new three-story addition to the existing acute care facility. Key features of the project include a 44-bed addition along with a new dietary/food service environment, entrance façade enhancements, new color scheme for the campus, as well as significant upgrades to the central energy plant.

The new dining facility on the ground floor will serve the entire hospital as well as the new addition. The second and third floors are dedicated to the Anderson Family Orthopedic & Spine Center of Excellence and Florence A. De George Children’s & Women’s Healthcare Services, respectively. This project is now seeing patients and will allow Jupiter Medical Center to continue their tradition of providing world-class healthcare to the residents of Jupiter and the surrounding region.

One of the features of the project was the creation of an iconic architectural element which has become a part of the Jupiter Medical Center brand. This element, as seen in the image above, is a conical curved glass corner, framed with a thin top wing and two thicker sloped column fins.

“It was a pleasure working with the entire team at Haskell. Their team is highly professional and skilled. The project was completed on time, on budget and exceeded our expectations.”

– John D. Couris, President & CEO of Jupiter Medical Center

“The Pavilion project, along with a series of upgrades that touched a large portion of the existing buildings and site, really transformed not only the look, but the actual feel of the campus. It feels fresh, modern, open, and approachable. I think our integrated team, in close coordination with the client, really focused on achieving this visibly apparent transformation, while simultaneously improving the underlying infrastructure that genuinely makes it a better place for patients, staff, and visitors. I think I speak for everyone on our A/E/C team, right down to the sub-contractors and suppliers, everyone is proud to have played a role in creating a re-defining chapter in the history of such a great facility.”

– Clyde Ted Moore III AIA ACHA, Project Design Principal
