Nestlé called on Haskell expertise to keep the plant fully operational during construction.

When an operating facility calls for upgrades or improvements, there can be a resulting impact in production. When improvement sites are all over the facility, the risk of delays is even greater. To prevent such production losses at their Wisconsin PetCare facility, Nestlé turned to an experienced facility and line partner: Haskell.

High-intensity projects affected key production and materials areas.

The project scope included an 80’ blast-proof spray dryer tower, 25,000-square-foot warehouse expansion, freezer addition, meat unloading dock, tempering room, loading dock addition, office expansion, revised entry road and added parking. Precast concrete frames with double tee walls were used for the warehouse and tower.

Intense coordination translated into zero lost production days.

The 35,000-square foot effort took extensive collaboration to keep all project areas moving ahead on schedule. The tower construction was phased to allow installation of the owner furnished 60’ long x 30-ton spray dryer and equipment on the second level. With the new upgrades in production and administrative areas, Nestlé’s facility is running more smoothly than ever.
