FreemanWhite’s opening for a Senior Project Architect in its San Diego office is a dream job for an experienced candidate eager to make a mark in their field and the region.

“This is a career move,” said Dan Lee, Project Executive in the San Diego office of FreemanWhite. “This is going to be someone who has been in a senior position somewhere. There is leadership opportunity being in this office.”

Since its founding in 1892, FreemanWhite, a Haskell company, has evolved into a holistic design firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare. Its mission is to improve the healthcare delivery through design, and its integrated, multidisciplinary team takes pride in continuously identifying and applying progressive responses to the rapidly changing industry.

FreemanWhite has connections and experience with all major San Diego healthcare systems. And Lee said that while San Diego businesses are renowned for doing business with local partners, the Haskell and FreemanWhite teams based there support not only hometown clients but clients throughout the Western United States.

The successful candidate should be registered in California and have experience working within Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) regulation. They also should value and thrive within an integrated project delivery environment.

Not only is Haskell a pioneer in design-build delivery, FreemanWhite designers often are involved throughout a project’s lifecycle. Its local team has decades of specialized healthcare design experience and takes an evidence-based design approach to problem solving.

“San Diego is heavily design-build,” Lee said. “The hospital systems here favor that delivery. We work very closely with the number of construction firms in the area, and they engage our Project Architects or our Project Manager into the mix. We’re currently working on an MRI replacement project. That's the kind of project where the Project Architect serves in both roles as the project architect and the project manager from the FreemanWhite side of the house. These types of project provide professional growth.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years experience and be proficient in CAD and Revit. Click this link to see the complete position description and to apply.
