Director – Workforce Development & University Relations

Background & Experience

Michael Huskey has spent his entire twenty-five-year career with Haskell and now leads Haskell’s strategic workforce planning and development initiatives in direct support of the Haskell 2025 vision. One of his favorite aspects of this position is leading Haskell’s Summer Internship Program, ensuring that participants have relevant and meaningful experiences.

Prior to this role, Mike spent many years as Director of Project Development, serving myriad public clients, including the Florida cities of Cape Coral and Pembroke Pines, the United States Marines and Coast Guard, and the First Coast YMCA. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Designated Design-Build Professional.

Education

Mike is a Florida native and a graduate of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management.  He and his family are sports enthusiasts and enjoy supporting the arts.

Professional Affiliations

Professionally he is active with the Design-Build Institute of America and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida’s First Coast.  He serves the United Way of Northeast Florida as a member of the Community Investment Council. Mike is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and now volunteers with LJ’s Youth and NextGen programs.  He is also a Mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sister’s Beyond School Walls program.
